Spanish Riding School foals on show
Whilst Vienna’s world famous Lipizzaner stallions take their well-earned summer break, six Lipizzaner mares together with their foals will come to Vienna from the Federal Stud Piber to entertain guests at Vienna’s Spanish Riding School.
From 3rd to 29th of July the Lipizzaner mares and their foals will put on a show titled "Piber meets Vienna"
In addition to the youngsters and their dams, fully trained Lipizzaners from the Federal Stud Piber will be shown in single harness, in pairs, in tandem and in a four-in-hand together with riders in historical uniforms in the Winter Riding School.
This special summer program will be presented in both German and English by the Manager of the Federal Stud Piber, Dr. Max Dobretsberger.
Elisabeth Gürtler. Said: "Piber meets Vienna is not only a nice opportunity to see the foals interact with their mothers. It also offers guests the opportunity to see the work of our Lipizanner Stud Piper at first hand.
From July 7th visitors can visit the foals and their mothers between 17 and 18 in their ‘Green Children’s Room’ in the Stallburg free of charge.
This 175 m2 lawn gives the hoarses the opportunity to run around in the fresh air.
Piber meets Vienna, at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna takes place from 3rd until 29th July Tuesday to Sunday from 11-12.
