Slut to perform in Vienna
German indie rock band Slut said they will return to Austria for one concert later this year.
Online music and events platform Britishrock.cc reports today (Weds) that the Ingolstadt-based group with the controversial name are set to perform at Vienna’s B72 club on 12 November.
The band, fronted by Christian Neuburger, garnered a wide fan base in German-speaking Europe with their 2001 album "Lookbook" featuring hit ballad "It was easier".
Their most recent releases are "StillNo1" (2008) and "Corpus Delicti" from last year for which they cooperated with German writer Juli Zeh.
Meanwhile, around 5,000 fans are expected to attend this year’s edition of the Picture On festival in remote the Burgenland town of Bildein.
American rockers Papa Roach, German rapper Samy Deluxe, US anti-folk icon Adam Green and alternative metal star Life Of Agony co-headline the two-day event which will kick off on 13 August.
