Norah Jones will perform in a Roman stone quarry this summer, it has emerged.
The American singer-songwriter – who has won 12 Grammys and four World Music Awards – will hit the stage at the Römersteinbruch St. Margarethen in Burgenland province on 1 July.
Jones rose to fame with her debut album "Come Away With Me" in 2002. Three more studio albums and a performance in the 2007 movie "My Blueberry Nights" followed.
Tickets for the 30-year-old’s concert at the St. Margarethen quarry – where opera performances have drawn crowds over the past few years – go on sale tomorrow (Fri).
Other upcoming live music highlights are the Dornbirn concert of British heavy metal veterans Paradise Lost on 19 February, the performance of goth-indie stars White Lies at the Arena in Vienna on 20 February and the concert of Brit soul singer Joss Stone on 21 February at Vienna’s Gasometer.
