"Art Supermarket" now open in Vienna

An "Art Supermarket" offering paintings and sculptures at low prices has opened in Vienna.

The "Kunstsupermarkt" – located in Mariahilfer Straße 103 – features around 4,000 pieces of art by 70 artists from 12 countries.

Organiser Peter Doujak said his aim was to make art affordable. He explained acrylics, aquarelles and oil-colour paintings were on offer as well as sculptures and photographs.

Prices at the market open until 18 January range between 50 and 300 Euros.
