World of wine gets a 4m facelift
The wine experience world in Poysdorf is to be given a 4 million euro facelift.
The money will be used to expand the wine museum section and the Festhalle exhibition and event hall.
The wine experience world - the so-called Vino Versum" - attracts about 17,000 visitors a year to Poysdorf in Mistelbach and the hope is that the rebuilding will increase that substantially.
The local economic development couincillor in Lower Austria Petra Bohuslav (ÖVP) said that the rebuilding would come under the remit of the area's "Bread and Wine" promotion that they hoped would strengthen interest in the regions food and drink specialities.
She said the exhibition would strengthen the local economy - and bring jobs.
The exhibition will take place between 27 April and 3 November next year meaning that many areas will have restricted access while the building work takes place.
