Shocking experience for lucky trucker
The 38-year-old driver - who'd brushed an overhead high voltage cable with a grabber arm in Scharnitz - only survived because he sat tight on a leather seat where the current couldn't reach him.
He said: "I heard a crack and then a buzzing noise and I realised that the entire vehicle had gone live and every metal part could kill me.
"The firemen told me that if I'd tried to open the door I would have been dead as soon as I touched the ground."
